Chrysalis Academy
An Arizona Department of Education approved private day school for individuals on the autism spectrum, located in south Scottsdale, Arizona
Vocational Training
Chrysalis Academy's vocational training program teaches our high school students job tasks and independent living skills. Students practice vocational skills in our workroom, volunteer in the community, participate in weekly outings and attend job fairs.
Volunteering
Our students are currently volunteering at Andre House, Feed My Starving Children and St. Vincent de Paul. Through volunteering our students are able to practice sorting, packaging, labeling and assembling. Furthermore, our workroom provides students the opportunity to work in a mock office setting, allowing them to learn how to stock shelves, file, laminate, print, copy, scan, bind, shred, hole punch and more!
Community Outings
In addition to volunteer opportunities, students are able to generalize functional life skills out in the community by ordering food in various restaurants, grocery shopping, visiting local businesses and participating in recreational activities at Spo-Fit.
