K-12 Program Highlights
During the first week or so, the team will first “pair” with the student in order to build a rapport with them. Pairing is essential in building a rapport with the student, thus establishing the staff as the ultimate reinforcer. Once we have successfully paired with a student, we begin introducing “mastered tasks” and reinforce the students success which in turn establishes “instructional control.” After this step is complete, we begin conducting assessments to help develop unique goals that are individually tailored to each student. A new IEP is created for each student within the first 6-8 weeks and will consist of 15-20 goals.

2:1 Student to Staff Ratio
Teaching is delivered in a 2:1 student to staff ratio as well as in small group and large group instruction. This allows for more individualized attention and group instruction helps teach students to generalize skills in a group setting.
Chrysalis Academy has a Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) on site full time. Our BCBA provides each student with individualized attention specific to each student’s behavioral and social needs.
Our school schedule is designed to maximize student progress while meeting the requirements of the Arizona Department of Education. School is in session Monday through Friday with scheduled breaks throughout the year.
